The Lord may strike me dead for saying this, but for once in my life, I actually can relate to Chris Matthews. *watches for lightning bolts* As ridiculous as it sounded coming from Matthews in reference to the feeling Barack Obama gives him, I must say that I felt the same thing listening to Sarah Palin on Wednesday night. As a conservative, I must say McCain was my third choice in the primaries: right after "Mike Huckabee" and "pass". It can be said that my support of McCain was tepid at best. But the instant Sarah Palin's name was added to the ticket my support went into overdrive. She is the epidome of the American dream. She is what I would like to tell my daughters they can become. I must control myself because I can't stop gushing about her. As a married man, I almost feel guilty about how much I like her and the crazy thing is, my wife likes her even more. Maybe I should be more worried about that! But after years of calling myself a conservative and waiting for the rebirth of the Reagan Revolution, I believe we have found our leader. I have heard pundits refer to her as the next Margaret Thatcher and I must concur.

 

   Now, I must issue an edict. We as conservatives MUST defend her with every fiber of our being. When she gets insulted, we get insulted. When her name gets dragged through the mud, we get dirty as well. We cannot sit back and let this great woman get ripped to shreds by the media elite and the Washington crowd. STAND UP! FIGHT!
